It is clear we are in times of upheaval and major change, whether we follow the stars or simply watch the news. Our own lives require a constant dance to accommodate exterior changes; we watch our friends wrestle with tough decisions.
And, it's not all bad. We're being asked to dig deep within ourselves to uncover our shadow materials, to see dysfunctional patterns and worn out habits (Saturn in Scorpio flowing along with Pluto in Capricorn). We're pushed from within to become authentically free and true to Self (Uranus in Aries). This is a very long term transformation cycle. We need to surrender to it, work with it, learn to love it even!
Meanwhile, simple astrological tools can help us plan our lives to be a bit more smooth.
Transiting Moon Signs: Follow the path of the Moon to notice how you respond when it is in each sign. You'll find some signs light you up with energy, and others ask you to calm down and reflect. Although maybe that would be fire moons or water moons respectively, the unique effect on your chart might be just a bit different.
Transiting Sun Sign: The Sun spends 30 days in a sign and that means about a month in each house (area of your life/psyche) in your chart. Knowing when the Sun crosses your ascendant each year and you begin your personal year is important. Generally planning life to be in accord with the Sun's transit could help you plan a month of working hard on a project when you'll feel like doing that, and not booking a vacation for that time period.
Moon void-of-course and last aspect. Each month you can look at a chart of lunar ingresses and void moons. The Moon is void of course (V/C) after it has made its last aspect to another planet before it enters a new sign. For example, on October 1, the Moon goes into Virgo at 11:52 am (PDT). Its last aspect is a sextile to Venus on October 3rd at 11:58 am. Then there's a space of time until 8pm when it moves into Libra. The is the 'void' period. Traditionally it is believed that this void of course 'space' isn't a good time as 'nothing will come of the matter'. But there's a lovely 48 hour period on October 1 and 2nd with a skillful Moon in Virgo that will end with a flowing yet lively sextile to Venus. These are great days where it's likely the effort you put out will be rewarded.
Giving yourself these little gifts of astrological planning might make your days just a bit smoother!
